BMS Construction started the way most good steel companies do — with a small crew, a shop in San Antonio, Texas, and a commitment to doing the work right the first time. What began as a handful of welders and fabricators taking on whatever structural steel work came our way has grown into a full-service fabrication and erection outfit, but the way we operate hasn't changed much: show up, do clean work, and treat every job like it's the one your name is on. We're still a family at heart. Our crew — foremen, welders, fabricators, and the office team keeping it all running — has logged countless hours together in the shop and out on job sites across Texas, from water treatment plants to church buildings to dealership expansions. A lot of that experience shows up in the little things: tight fit-up, welds you don't have to think twice about, and a foreman who picks up the phone when you call. Growth hasn't changed our size so much as our reach. We've kept the shop small enough that the owner still knows every job by name, but we've built the relationships and track record to take on bigger, more demanding scopes — structural steel, bar joist, decking, site fabrication, and full erection packages — for general contractors who need a steel partner they don't have to babysit. That's still what BMS is about: a crew that treats this like a craft, not just a job, and a business that grew because the work spoke for itself.
